When it comes to classifying line technologies, CLiDe is our in-house expert. He features miniature versions of all the unbeatable assets required in a typical classifying line. In a fun and unique way, CLiDe demonstrates how these features can be integrated into a manufacturing process.
CLiDe has been busy this year, making appearances in our exhibit booths at two industry trade shows—first, at the International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) in January, then at Pack Expo East in March.
At both shows, CLiDe wowed visitors with a sweet interactive demonstration. Using a combination of conveyance, vision, and robotics technology, CLiDe transports bulk candies through a system where they are staged and sorted into separate pockets according to the type of candy. When the pockets become full, the candy is emptied into a hopper where it begins the journey again.
For a fun twist, trade show visitors could choose a sweet treat using CLiDe’s Human Machine Interface (HMI) touch screen and watch as he identified and dispensed their candy of choice through a miniature divert (reject) system.
