Advanced Inclusions Delivery System for Pet Food Processing
Project Overview
CHL Systems recently designed and implemented an advanced inclusions delivery system for two production lines at a prominent pet food manufacturing facility. Revolutionizing the way pet food ingredients are handled and incorporated into the final product, the system showcases our expertise in custom engineering and automation solutions.
Key Challenges
The client needed a solution to accurately and efficiently deliver frozen chicken and cranberry inclusions into their pet food production lines. The system had to maintain product integrity, ensure proper mixing, and integrate seamlessly with existing equipment, including chillers and weighing systems.
CHL Systems’ Solution
CHL Systems designed and built a custom inclusions delivery system that not only met but exceeded our client’s expectations. Our innovative solution includes custom-designed frozen chicken and cranberry inclusion units, each equipped with specialized features such as de-clumping mechanisms, safety interlocks, and precision augers. We also engineered chiller discharge conveyors that seamlessly connect the inclusion systems with the client’s existing weighing equipment, ensuring a smooth and efficient production flow.
- The inclusions delivery system features:
- Stainless steel construction throughout for superior hygiene and durability.
- Sanitary welds and polished finishes in product contact areas.
- Integration of safety features, including interlocks and sensors.
- Use of high-quality components such as Keltech TENV motors and Boston IP69 reducers.
- A customized design to fit existing production line layout.
