Chill Tank

Issue:

  • A meat processing facility was asked to produce their product using a different chilling method
  • Product needed to be dipped in 34° water to be chilled immediately after being shrink wrapped

Analysis:

  • Wet product was slippery and traveling up an incline belt conveyor
  • Product needed to be blown dry prior to transporting into a blast chill freezer

Solution:

  • CHL Systems designed, manufactured and installed the system, and integrated it with other ancillary equipment     
  • The belting surface chosen keeps the product from slipping during the wet incline transport
  • All water is blown off the product prior to discharge into a blast chill freezer

 

Result:

  • Product obtained the desired results for their customer
  • Product is chilled using the newly required methods for their customer
  • Customer is very pleased with the equipment and the product results
